About the Journal
Trimarium. The History and Literature of Central and Eastern European Countries
The main purpose of the academic quarterly is to present the history and literature of the various countries of Central and Eastern Europe, including the Czech Republic, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Ukraine and Hungary (especially in the 20th and 21st centuries), with a perspective of expanding to other Trimarium countries. It is the task of the quarterly to present the point of view of scholars from the aforementioned countries, as opposed to that of foreign researchers. In addition to the regular historical and literary sections with a theme assigned to each, there is a Varia section. The journal is aimed at an international audience, combining scientific merit with the idea of spreading knowledge about the region to English-speaking readers. Hence, the print version of the quarterly is published in English, while the electronic one is also available in the authors’ original languages.
